In February 2020 we held our first international workshop of the COMBAT AMR in Africa Network titled "Global threat yet local problem - antimicrobial resistance in sub-Saharan Africa" at the Hirsch Institute of Tropical Medicine in Asella, Ethiopia.
Dear colleagues, welcome to our newly launched COMBAT AMR Network Website. We started creating this website to increase the visibility of our common AMR Network activities. It was proposed and agreed to call our network: COMBAT AMR in Africa Network (COmprehensive Multi-Centre Bioinformatics-based Action to Tackle AMR in sub-Saharan Africa). The COMBAT AMR Network is a partnership of six German specialized departments for infectious diseases and / or tropical medicine of public university hospitals and their longstanding partner-institutions, university and referral hospitals in five different countries of Sub-Saharan Africa.
